TERMS OF BUSINESS

All hires are subject to our Terms & Conditions and by placing an order with Chocablok either verbally or via e-mail it is deemed that the customer has read, understood and fully agreed to the Terms & Conditions.  Chocablok reserves the right to cancel a hiring agreement if the conditions herein are not adhered to.

Payment

A deposit of £100 is due on receipt of the invoice to secure the booking, unless agreed otherwise at the time of booking. The balance is due 14 days before the event, if the event is sooner than 14 days from order then the full amount is due immediately.

If the Buyer does not pay the balance by the due date Chocablok, will be entitled to regard the booking as cancelled and no refund will be payable.

Cancellations

The Buyer must make cancellations in writing.
All deposits are non – returnable within 2 months of the event.  If the event is cancelled 14 days or less before the event, Chocablok will refund 25% of the total booking price.

Breakdown

In the unlikely event that the fountain should breakdown or fail to operate as a fountain, the system will still allow the guests to dip food into the bowl of the fountain, which will be filled with chocolate, and therefore provide the guests with the experience.  Chocablok will refund a proportion of balance payment (not including any deposit paid and food ordered) in relation to the amount of time left to run of the event.

If the buyer is running the fountain and a breakdown occurs after Chocablok has left the fountain working, no refund will be due.

In any event, the buyer agrees that the maximum claim that could be made in respect of loss or damage is restricted to the total cost of the hire and no more.

Equipment Required

All equipment requires a 240 volt power supply within 2 metres of the chocolate fountain.  A 4 foot table (preferably circular) is to be arranged by the persons hiring the fountain.  If this is not possible, please contact us in advance to ensure that we can make suitable arrangements.

Hire without Operator

When the buyer hires the fountain, and for whatever reason decides that an operator is not needed from the seller, the buyer agrees to be responsible for the security and safety of the fountain for the term, of the hire, (the time of the delivery until the time of collection). Should the fountain be damaged or stolen, the buyer agrees to cover ALL costs to repair or replace the fountain and or any ancillary equipment supplied with the same, immediately.

Once the fountain has been set up and left working, Chocablok is no longer responsible for the functioning of the machine and in the event of a breakdown will not be liable for any loss suffered as a result of the fountain breaking down. It is strongly advised that the Buyer uses the operator supplied by Chocablok. A delivery charge may be applied.

Food Allergy

The host should be aware that Chocablok cannot guarantee that the chocolate and dipping treats they
use, have not come into contact with nuts.
